Llajua (Bolivian Spicy Sauce)

Llajua or llajwa, a fresh Bolivian spicy sauce. Great with hamburgers, soups or hot dogs.

  • 1 medium tomato
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1-5  fresh chili peppers  (habaneros)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


  1. Add tomato, parsley, and half of a chili pepper to a blender.
  2. Blend for 1 minute and taste for spiciness. Keep adding peppers to your liking. Add salt and serve.

Keep in the fridge for up to 5 days.
