Ingredients
1sheet puff pastry(8.65 ounces)
1egg + 1 tablespoon water
4ouncescream cheese,full fat at room temperature
1garlic clove,minced
⅛teaspoonground black pepper
½cupwhipping cream
2tablespoonschopped green onion
8ouncessmoked salmon
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 390F/200C. Prepare 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Unroll 1 sheet of puff pastry and cut it into 12 squares. Using a fork, poke each square and make 4 indentations with a knife (don't cut all the way through).
In a small bowl make an egg wash with 1 egg, and 1 tablespoon of water. Brush each square and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let them cool completely before assembling.
Whipped cream cheese: cream together cream cheese, garlic, black pepper, and whipping cream until light and fluffy. Fold in the green onions.
Once the puff pastry is cool, spread the cream cheese mixture, and add a slice of smoked salmon.
Notes
Whipped cream cheese mixture can be made 2 to 3 days ahead. Keep in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
