- 3-½ cups Old-Fashioned Oats
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2-½ teaspoons baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 1-½ cup milk
- ¾ cup applesauce
- 3 cups frozen berries
Preheat oven to 350°F / 176°C. Grease an 8x8 baking dish.
In a large bowl add oats, brown sugar, salt, baking powder.
In a small bowl, mix applesauce, eggs and milk. Add the mixture to the oats and mix well. Add frozen berries.
Pour batter into a greased baking dish and bake for one hour, or until the center is firm to the touch.
Serve hot with a splash of milk.
Once cooled, this baked oatmeal can be frozen for up to 3 months.
Substitutions:
- whole milk: non-dairy milk, fat free milk
- brown sugar: granulated sugar, artificial sweeteners, honey, maple syrup
